When I get my puppy in a couple of weeks he will have introduced to Eukanuba large breed by the breeder. Should I stick with this food or gradually switch it to someone else? Just looking for opinions as to if this is a good food or if there's something better.

I would not stay with that Kibble to much grain in it, My 10 week old is being fed on Acana Puppy 30% Protein etc just right for a growing Puppy although Protein is no bad thing in my Book and there is no proof it does harm. My pet hate is to much Calcium in a Puppy food that does cause a growth spurt, However it is how much you feed,
At the moment i am feeding Acana 4 times a day i measure out his days ration then split it between 4 meals but two times a day i take out some to put in my pocket i use this for his Sit and Down which he is doing plus i use it to get him to focus on my face easy done sit on a stool with the Pup inbetween your legs. Or i use it for his start in tracking he has done it twice todate, I never use extra Treats or Kibble it comes out of his daily ration
Kibble in both hands move your hands in a swinging motion as if walking the Pup will look at your moving hands, When his eyes look at your face then say Yes, and give him a piece of Kibble. give him a yes and a piece of kibble every time he looks at your face, not when he looks at your hands after a bit he will not look at your moving hands at all as he gets older and bigger then use a chair to sit on, I will keep this up for 12 months then in between on occasions no matter how old the Dog is, It teaches the Dog to focus on your face no where else

I agree with Steve, Eukanuba does have alot of grain in it. However, I rasied my last litter of German Shepherds on the Eukanuba large breed puppy formula and they did very well. I wouldnt have picked Eukanuba because of the amount of grain in it. But the rep gave me several coupons and I got it REALLY cheap so I figured I would give it a try. I must say that the pups did AWESOME on it.
I would leave your pup on the Eukanuba for at least 2-3 weeks after you get him. That way he has a chance to adjust before his diet gets change too. If you want to stay with Eukanuba that is your choice. I would see how well he does on it for the few weeks. I am a FIRM believer that if "It aint broke dont fix it"... so if he is doing really well on it then I personally would leave him on it until he goes to an adult food. If the pup does not do well on it in those few weeks then I would definantly switch to another food.... I would recommend a grain free kibble at that point.
