There used to be a saying here in the UK that you should be able to balance a glass of water on a shepherds back
if he has the correct conformation. ( Mine prefers Coors) John

ok, few observations...anything under a thick glass would be magnified so perfectly black line of a dog would have not gone perfectly straight through the clear portion of the glass..the whole bottom would have been dark...also, corners are not leveled hence image of the cup is taken from a 45 degree angle to capture the top part of the cup..while picture of a dog is straight on..
and...
are you kidding me?..LOOOL a beer cup on dogs back, especially a puppy would have not moved an inch without getting to the cup...
welcome to the photoshop... :)
I recently worked on educational piece for isolation rooms....needless to say i still have people asking me how did i get him to do THAT!
