Sorry...this is probably a really stupid question but does anyone know if there is a magazine for dogs that participate in ScH and the breed ring?
I am interested in seeing examples of stud dogs and what dogs are doing what.
I currently get the GSDCA Review magazine as I am a GSDCA member but, unfortunately, there is not much of this kind of stuff in there.....
I recently bought a pup who is mostly DDR bred (but not really sport bred) and am also interested to see examples of these dogs competing in America in the type of competition mentioned above.
Thank you!

United Schutzhund Clubs of America (USCA). It publishes a magazine that is called "Schutzhund USA." Hope this helps. Pete

Smiley, you can only get the magazine if you become a member of United Schutzhund Clubs of America--they don't offer a stand-alone subscription. I think that's also true of the GSDCA and the GSDCA-WDA, though. However, if you are a member of the GSDCA-WDA, you cannot join USCA, unless you drop your WDA membership--USCA does not permit it's members to belong to 'other competing German Shepherd Dog clubs'. I believe you CAN still belong to the GSDCA, just not to it's offshoot for SV-style conformation and working titles known as the GSDCA-WDA.

Hexe,
Thank you very much for your reply.
That is a shame about the magazine. No, you can get the GSDCA magazine without being a member as I got that before I joined.....
I like to read stuff and follow it before I think of joining.
Why does the USCA have that rule about not belonging to the GSDCA-WDA? That's weird.
Is there a difference between the two organizations?
Also, I heard you can get titles in obedience and tracking without the protection work. Is this true? If so, which of the 2 allow you to do this?
I am interested in getting a BH and FH with my puppy as well but do not want to do the protection work.
