Might be pano: http://www.critterchat.net/pano.htm, but better have your vet check her.

Try going to your vet. Describe the symptoms if the pup isn't doing it then. Call your breeder, take the pup back to let the breeder to see what you're talking about, if possible. Good breeders have a lot of insight into their pups & what may be happening with them, possibly even more than a vet. But, especially if you're a new owner of GSDs, let someone with more experience examine the pup. In the mean time, avoid any heavy exercise, rough-housing, or jumping, especially on hard surfaces. Limit stair climbing. Good luck. jackie harris

When you say bunny hopping, is that on the rear legs??? When walking her, is she on a hard surface like concrete or ashphalt??? Have you talked to breeder or vet yet??? Please don't think this is what's wrong with your girl, but I've had to bunny hoppers on rear legs, both GSD's had Hip Dysplasia. I don't want to scare you, but you MUST find out. I would have her X-rayed. Good Luck and keep me posted please. Pete

So this happens only on lead ? Is she just excited and being stupid puppy silly ? Are you saying that other than the leash, she NEVER does this ?
I think you have a goofy puppy on your hands if it is just on the leash.
