I realize I have not been on this forum in a long time but I was just on my dog's pedigree and on April 2, 2011 someone was logged as making a change. I do not see what was changed and I do not know the username. This person joined the forum on the date of the log in. They also have only made 3 posts on this forum, all on that same date.  Does anyone know how another person could access my dog's pedigree in order to make changes. To my knowledge the only people who could do that were the breeder and myself.

As far as I know anyone can make changes, updates to any pedigree. Delete option works only for pedigrees crteated in the first place by the person who wishes to delete a pedigree.
If you think the edit done to one of your pedigrees is incorrect or false you can notify any of the site administration and proper action will be taken.

Correct, anyone registered here can make changes on any pedigrees, but if you see that nothing has actually changed the person may have been just looking at the pedigree in more detail than you can see on the dog´s page?

I sometimes make an imaginery pedigree of a male then mate him to another imaginary female and see what linebreeding their puppy will have then delete all imaginary pedigrees I made. Sometimes I make a test pedigree then delete it and so on, it is a feature on this database we can benefit from but shouldn't abuse or misuse.
Once I made a comment on a VA male which I later regreted, I couldn't remove my own comment, sent a request to administration with a true explanation of what I did, the comment was removed in short time with a note to me to be more careful in future.

I've done the same thing, Ibrahim. So have a few people who were innocently imagining about a certain breeding between 2 of my dogs. Next thing you know, I have entire imaginary litters registered by hateful and spiteful people trying to stir up trouble. The boredom and pettiness of some people is mind-boggling.

JenM66, what were the changes?

It doesn't look like anything was changed except her picture is gone. I didn't realize that anyone could access other than the breeder and myself.

Then you must've been in the mass deletion and then the pedigree was restored by admin. Pictures were not restored, unfortunately. There was some psycho who deleted a bunch of pedigrees involving a few individuals and then branched out and deleted about a zillion peds. All mine were gone, and any dog who had anything to do with mine was deleted, a bunch of Eichenluft's dogs were gone, and about a million others.

Jen,

It is true of what happened about the mass deletion of photos and pedigrees.  Jenni, Molly, and several others were the targets.  I restored Dugan's photo, but that's it.
How is the Gracie girl? (PM or email me)

The pictures were simply a nuisance, but I was upset to see that the comments were gone. Capri had a bunch of really nice comments by people I respect and Caleb had quite a few as well. And some freak had nothing better to do than destroy that, after labeling Capri severely dysplastic and leaving comments warning never to buy one of her pups. Very bored individual indeed.

Well that just stinks! Why do people have to be like that.

Brandi, Gracie is absolutely awesome! 5 years old, active, happy. Doing well. Thanks for asking.
