The GSD League should now actively pursue GSD litter registrations with the SV, for GSD litters born within the UK.
Within this pursuit, the GSD League should explore the possibility of enabling GSD breeders to have the options of:
1) DUAL Registration, with the Kennel Club AND the SV.
2) Registration with only the SV.
3) Of course Registration with only the Kennel Club to remain available.

From January 2012 - I understand the Kennel Club are introducing new rules appertaining to the registration of litters.

The problem is in March 09 the KC made an agreement with the FCI that pups born in the UK can not be registered in FCI member countries and vice versa, they would have to be registered here then obtain export pedigrees to register in Germany
When I brought my other breed to the UK it was my intention to register the litters with CMKU - the KC put a block on this with their agreement with the FCI

We have the dual registration with the SV in the US, via United Schutzhund Clubs of America. However, it is asupplemental registration, as only the AKC (American Kennel Club ) reigstration is recognized by the FCI. The SV in fact mandated that the US dogs were to be registered with the AKC.

One would consider that with the UK being members of the European Union we would be free to register our litters within Europe. The other consideration is the question of a Cartel Agreement between the FCI & The KC or a State Monopoly arrangement, either which may be illegal within Europe.

yet we cant protect our affixes with the FCI because the UK KC are not FCI members
