I got my LC beast back from the "professional" dog trainer yesterday.

The dog curled his lip to their daughter, which is very understandable, he's
never been around children, they did keep him overnight though, could have been worse.

I have decided to go with the premise that he will live with me forever,
and I will make him a star.

My dog Theo was all screwed up when I got him back at 7 months, now he's so stable
and well rounded at 5 years old that everyone that sees him loves him.

The beast I got back hasn't growled at me, hasn't done anything bad, yet.

I talked to someone that had first hand knowledge of this "monster" and she
said the dog NEVER got corrected or disciplined for anything, was allowed to sleep
in the bed and on the couch, the person I spoke with said he was a spoiled brat.

Well he is eating fine now, and is yawning less, and is licking his lips less, which means
he is less stressed than he was.

He wears a prong collar, and doesn't sleep on the bed or couch, awww....

I am thrilled to have him back, today I am putting a backpack on him and filling it with
bottled water, he's going to get a job, my personal assistant!

Don`t you just wonder about these folk that call themselves professional trainers sometimes...... take in peoples dogs, fonts of all knowledge, firt sign of troubles - ruin em, send em back and blame the owners after all......    well done that he`s back with you,  take care Mo.

Sounds like he didn't have many limits in his original home and probably knew he could do whatever he wanted and bully them if necessary. I bet he'll straighten up now with you!

Sounds like his owners thought they could raise a GSD like they raised their Golden Retriever. That just doesn't work. It's good that he has you to straighten him out. Having met your Theo, and seeing the wonderful boy he is, I know this guy  will turn out wonderful too.

My pick bitch came back and OMG am I glad she did! She is FANTASTIC! Isn't it great when that happens? I sure do wish I could have raised her, but I think she is strong enough to rebound. No way is she going anywhere again, except for training. Congrats on getting your puppy back.

Jackie, is this the girl you mentioned before that you were taking back but had to sell? You're keeping her? YAY!

by VomMarischal on 26 May 2011 - 22:05

Hell yes I'm keeping her! WOW she is good! I also like her extreme looks.

Good for you! I got mine back, too. Was thinking I really had to sell her, but now would like to find a foster or co-owner; I hate making permanent decisions for temporary situations.

We should start a thread about the great ones we get back from idiots, lol.
