Our female is in season now , but in her last 2 seasons her vagina was all swollen up like a doughnut, we had her projesterone tested and they said she was ready. We didnt mate her because she wouldnt let the male get near her ,we tried her on the 12th 13th 14th 15th day so we didnt bother. Anyway this time she is still bleeding but she is only slightly swollen its her 15th day , this mornong after we came back from exercise i left her in the gardn as usual when i looked out there was a jack russell in the garden trying to mount her, it couldnt reach as she is a gsd but her tail was to one side (FLAGGIN) 1 breeder told me she can still be mated even if she isnt swollen , the other said she must be swollen like a doughnut, can you on here give me some advise please

How can you be so careless?
My female in heat is locked up with concrete floor and at least 6.5 feet high fence with special design that much lessens the chance of a male scaling it. The fence are blocked even though my bitch is not a tramp.
Go with P-test result and do AI, fresh semen dog to dog, not behaviors if the two do not coincide.
