Hi everyone.
I have a male coming on Monday evening that is 18months.
This will have my pack at 1 male 6yrs,1 female 3yrs,1female 14 weeks and the new guy.
How do you all rotate etc with your dogs? We have bought an acreage but dont take possession until the end of June.
Just want to make sure everyone gets the proper attention etc.
In a perfect world i would love them to all live in harmony but dont know if thats possible.
Suggestions?

I figured it was a training thing. They did well with the puppy. Although my female got even softer when i brought the pup home.
Just wanted to make sure i wasn't crazy wanting to have 4:)
This is going to be my agility guy so have high hopes for him..My days are planned for the next year i think:) Sar training for the pup 3 days a week ,agility 2 days a week and 2times daily walks for all. Im thinkin i should b feeling lighter by next month...lol
My husband is calling me a dog hoarder already..lol

I have 2 adult males, and 5 adult females living in our home (2 females are for sale, and one has been sold) and 3 three month puppies (two are for sale). The puppies are sheltered from the adults, and other then that, the only time that we rotate is if one of the females is in heat. I feed each in its own seperate crate and we do not play with any toys inside the house. They all get along.

I have 4 all intact for now....although poor Beckett will be neutered soon. My girls get too snippy when one of them is in season so I've been alternating crating when ever someone's in heat, but the girl who's the trouble-maker will be spayed this summer as well, so life should be easier then. It is training & authority, I don't have any problems with them, but hubby does at times, so we're going to neuter the ones who cause problems for him. They're not breed worthy anyway, so....! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only nut selling her house & expanding just to accommodate her dogs!

XD i have a 17 yr old poodle a 7 yr old pom a 4 year old intact male shepherd a 2 year old female and a 13 week old male pup everyone gets along shepherds are fed in their crates and the other 2 are fed together. but NO toys. its the cardinal rule. to play with a toy the rest must be in the other room and bones are only alowed in their crates. if someone shows a ball we have world war 7 going on.

I currently have 4...
8 year old Alfa female GSD
4 year old male GSD
12 month old female GSD
5 year old female Ridgeback/Boxer mix (she was left behind by previous house owners who said they will take her after her dog aggression issue is addressed and she has basic OB, so we are working on that)
All my dogs all treated equal at all times, if they are out of kennels they are all out at the same time, confined separately (except my male can stay with either of my girls, no matter) at the same time...I feed them at the same time they are less than a foot away from each other on a porch, once dog is done they leave porch no licking someone else plate, or hovering over...ok, i will get some pictures, its pretty organized I don't like BS and don't put up with not getting along crap...Ridgeback and 12 month old did not get along for 1st week..fought few times a day...put them on a 5 foot leash together they spend few days like that and now they sleep next to each other..... at night they are all loose in backyard and they sleep on a porch..first few nights I had to yell for them to quit snarling at each other but other than that it has pretty good. :)
I have tennis balls which are fair game for everyone..
soccer balls are 8 year old GSD's toys (others can borrow but will give up when she wants it back)
Kong ball is my 12 month old..others will run after it but will not pick it up because it's hers
squeaky ball and softballs are my males toys
and rubber soccer looking ball is for Ridgeback which she only uses to put her head on it when she laying down...
to get that accomplished...for example I would throw a Kong ball and if anyone else gets it (and trust me they are all running like they are going to get it) besides my 12 month old i would tell them to drop it, and she would pick it up...did that with all balls...so they all know who is getting what an d no fights..
however tennis balls are shared first gets it gets to keep it and bring it back to me...and we have more than enough of them all over yard...if there is disagreement another one is thrown sometimes at them and it works!

I must say I am jealous- I could not get that done with two plus a 5 month old pup- my older male would attack the pup and my female wanted nothing to do with him
Simply amazed
