Nickeson - Page 1

Does anyone have a gsd from Lori Nickeson in Bend, Oregon?  She's featured in a lot of gsd articles.  I noticed her mentioned in one of my gsd magazines.  I was just curious.  Seems like a good breeder with a great reputation.

I didn't purchase my dog from Lori but her dog "Kurt" (CH DeBrut's Different Drummer UDX NA)  was the sire to my female that just passed away at 13yrs old and I have her son who is almost 12yrs. They were both great working/show dogs even though we didn't persue conformation just obedience and tracking. Lori is fantastic!! Always very supportive of me and my dogs even though I didn't purchase them from her! Her dogs have the best temperaments and are able to work and do conformation!! I would absolutely get a dog from her!! She is always very friendly and will talk to you and give you help and pointers at shows, she is a great fountain of information! Wish I was closer to her so I could learn more from her! My Trouble and her "Shadow" are half sisters about 6mos apart. She is one of few "American" breeders I would HIGHLY recommend!!

Thank you Trouble97 for the response.  I've seen her mentioned in quite a few gsd articles and have been impressed with what I've read.  Kind of surprised that no one else here seems to know about her.

I've talked to Lori at shows (GSDCA National) and have watched her in the ring.  I think she breeds some very nice dogs and she does very well with them. Her dogs don't happen to be the type I'm looking for, OTOH she wouldn't want my dogs either :)  She's an excellent trainer and very supportive! 

The logo I just made is my "Trouble" that was the daughter of Lori's  CH. DeBruts Different Drummer UDX, NA. She was a super tracker that was her favorite thing in the world!!
