would anyone know? with training and a good foundation?

Not an expert by an stretch of the word, but you'll get what you put into him. He seems to have a pretty good pedigree- a few untitled dogs on the dam's side but that doesn't mean anything. The breeding is there for him now it's up to you as his owner to take him to whatever heights you can. I have a showline that is out of several VA and top V dogs and he has ScH3 throuout his pedigree. Yet time and money restraints have only let me get him to CDx that coupled with the lack of a good ScH club in my area.

So he's the most expensive, well behaved PET I've ever owned.

thanks for the reply, more is welcome.

yeh well we have 2 schz clubs in victoria,bc canada.

and i got to one of them once aweek. for 6 hours.

i train at home, and he comes to work with me. i try to get him on long walks after work. or atleast play with him well training him to out and come.

but hes only 6 1/2 months old. there not that much i can do.. just building a good dog from the ground up/

more please

Then if you have a club that is accessible and willing- get in there and learn and train with them. Read, read, read and research. Pick a dog that you like the way he works and behaves and try to work close with it's owner- but beware that what works for the other dog might not work with yours. Work with your dog and love him is the most important thing, because there is little doubt that HE loves you!

yeh,

he been in the club since he was 10 weeks old.

we got him at 8 weeks, we didnt really do anything with him except play with him, and just socialze him.

the club says hes doing great, had a helper from the U.S. say that hes one of the best dogs in the club for how young he is.

just watned second or thrid voices to see what they think!

dont really know about how to judge a dog, with just looking at a pedigree. i know people on this forum. some do know how to do that!!..

thats why i posted this thread!!

Just a little more advice- take some video of him "working"  and that will surely get you some responses besides mine. Pedigrees are fun to look at and are a pretty good basis on what a dog has the potential to be. But think of this- it all goes back to Hektor Linksrhein or Horand as Max von Stephanitz renamed him. And I wonder what his pedigree looked like? It wasn't the names on the papers that impressed von Stephanitz- it was the way the dog worked, and it's intelligence.

with a pedigree like that its a real crap shoot,i would recom.you have him temperment tested by a real pro to know his chances of being a good Sch dog

Cldormer :  yeh i will take some videos soon.

thanks. i would love to see what kind of dog i have.

Bundishep: its funny you said that. we have marty come from the u.s. he use to breed german shepherds.

i think he still has some, but now hes kinda rotti now too.

but to me he said my dog acts like a classic shepherd.

he also said hes doing great for his age, and all i can really do is let him grow up, and not to tooo hard on him.

now i gotta ask? classic shepherd oppose to what kind of shepherd?
