Hi Jeff:

I am unfamiliar with DOH - could you give some insight to what exactly the DOH is  and what the dogs action is suppose to be  (I am sure the dog is doing it properly if you posted the video)... But , I am clueless on what I am looking at...

Thanks

It is some beginning work in the defense of handler.

I want the dog to stay close to me and watch the decoy. I do not want the dog static. Soon I will use two decoys to teach the dog to ignore the distraction decoy.

Sometimes I mark him verbally, and sometimes the decoy wacks me. You try to balance it out so that the dog knows that he gets to bite on the hit, but doesn't anticipate to the point of biting before the hit.

This is a training video, just me and Drake and Esko, so there are foul ups and things in there. I want the dog to go between the legs on the out so he is facing front, that went kinda goofy there at the end. Esko was goofing off, and the decoy was sorta lost as to what to do about it. It happens. Esko found it amusing. It was around 88 degrees at that point so him being goofy was a good sign to come to a close before he got too hot.
