One needs to compare the GSD exhibited at Crufts with previous Crufts with the very few exceptions when the Crufts GSD Judge was a top GSD specialist judge, such as Terry Hannon.
It is also necessary to remember the vast majority of outstanding GSD Champions and Championship Show winners with numerous wins gained under TOP GSD Specialist Judges, including German SV Judges.were not entered at Crufts 2011.
It is only when you consider these two very relevant and important points above that you have the Crufts 2011 entry and results in any kind of reasonable perspective.
If anyone has any doubts or any disagreement with what I have written here, I suggest they look carefully at the actual entries and results of the major GSD Shows and Events held during the rest of 2011. Then you will have my comments here emphatically substantiated.

Your comments are totally predictable and irrelevant IMHO. You have just got to try to spoil it haven't you?
Why can't you for once be glad that the breed in the UK has got some good publicity where the world is concerned?

For whatever reason anyone chooses not to compete at any event, it becomes largely irrelevant to comment upon it and demean it by insinuating that the better dogs 'stayed at home'.
You cannot claim a better dog if it does not enter, to be judged alongside those that did.
It is rare enough for the breed to win the group, for heavens sake be pleased, and cheer him on with everyone else tonight.

There's also the little fact...hardly worth mentioning, mind you...that he's the British Vice Sieger, so the judges at Crufts aren't alone in thinking he's an outstanding dog.

Perhaps you and others will be so kind (and sensible) to read the title of this thread. I respectfully suggest this is an obvious thing to do before posting a comment. For your information I have already commented on the "Elmo" thread.
