What is the"Standard" weight range for a female and a male gsd. The AKC does not list a standard weight but describes height, lenght, and girth dimensions. This website states that gsd ranges from 77-85 lbs, but I have seen females weigh less than 77 lbs and males weight 90 and all seemed to be within in standard.

My female is 60 lbs. Many people who see her in the working community love her structure, but in public many people think she is on the short or small size of the GSD size curve. I don't know her exact dimensions but she is blocky with a nice size head.

not looking for a critique on my girl, but would like to know where to find the"standard" weight range.

Unfortunately Joe Public wouldn't know a good GSD if it bit them in the butt.

Your female sounds very nice and I know what you mean about the comments. My smallest female is not but 54-56 lbs. I get the "she's so tiny! That can't be a GSD, they're supposed to be huge." bit all the time. All of my females are small, 54-56lbs, 60lbs, 63lbs, 65lbs and the puppy is still growing. She's 57lbs at 8 months old.

I honestly prefer a smaller GSD ( still within standard of course) they rock in the agility department. There's not a one of mine that can't clear a 5' fence and fit in the tunnel :)

I think average weights ( don't quote me, still working on coffee) range from 22kg-32kg (48.4lbs-70.4lbs) for females and 30kg-40kg (66lbs-88lbs) for males.
