Could someone please explain to me what the grading of "K" & "U" give to a dog is at shows such as the Seiger show.

"U" means "ungenugend" - a German word meaning "insufficient" for a show rating or performance (bite work requirement) rating. There are many factors that might go into a dog receiving such a rating. This means the dog is dismissed from the event.
K - KKL1 or KK2 or KKL Lebenzeit? Is this what you are looking at? There is no single "K", but used as I typed here are breed survey ratings, meaning "especially recommended for breeding" and "recommended for breeding and, Lebenzeit means the dog has completed two successful breed surveys and is breed surveyed for life (meaning the dog does not have to re-do a breed survey in the future).

A friend told me he thought it signified a dog that was pulled or removed by the owner.
I never did find the word k stands for or a translation.

Don't know what the "K" stands for - but those dogs at the end were entered but not exhibited
