We had a reunion of sorts when my runty boy pup that's now 5 months came over to visit, his name is Ryder, he got to meet runty girl!!!  Runty girl's mom is Ryder's grand-mother!

What a girl!!!
His features at six weeks look a lot like hers did at that age. How much did he weigh?

I think about 3 pounds, he's growing nicely, she is also growing day by day, it's weird though, the girl pup's mom is his grand-ma.

mirasmom,
I always wanted a minature GSD. Thought I would finally have one with my last litter. She only made it to 2wks old.  I was so upset when I lost her....I'd take runty girl in a heartbeat....Here's a pic at 2 days old...

Do you know what was wrong with her that she didn't make it after 2 weeks?

Also, I'm sorry you lost her!

I don't know what happened... She weighed 6oz at birth while her siblings averaged 1 lb to 1 lb 4 ozs.  When she was born, her mom really didn't pay any attention to her. She just had her and that was it..... I cleaned her and actually revived her.  I had watched her try to nurse, but she always got pushed aside, so I bottle fed her.....I was always hoping and praying she would make it, but in my heart I knew the chances were slim, but I wasn't giving up.....She was so content, never whinned.....She didn't seem to be distressed.... She just wasn't meant to be. I sometimes wish I would have just let nature run it course and not revive her, but I had to try.......At least now I know,  I gave her every chance at life.....I cried when she died, but I looked at the other 7 remaining pups, and the hurt all seemed to go away....

Oh, so cute!  Sorry for your loss Nonacona.  That had to be tough.  So tiny.  How can you not love something so adorable and so playful!
