YUK how gross ... i do not know what to do or how to handle this bad situation. How do I get her to stop eating her poopies? And will this make her sick?

Put a little bit of pineapple in her food.

Kalani,
this is not an uncommon behavior. Puppys sometimes do that, they saw their mum eating up their poo - so they copy it. Keep your pup away from the poo, tell him "No" . And clean up the poo right away, so that there is no temptation for him.

Take her out to do her business on leash so you can control her and keep her from eating her poop.  Clean it up immediately.  When she finishes her business, give her a command like "inside", take her inside and feed her a treat.  Soon she will forget about the poop and run for the door to go inside and get her treat.  The best way to keep a dog from eating its poop is to keep the poop picked up.

I have had pups do this and grow out of it. A couple that didn't and continued on into adulthood.

I have always used a product named "Forbid". Also have used meat tenderizer sprinkled on food. You might want to try this first. I agree, it is disgusting, especially when the next move is to try and lick my face or the kids.

best,
Rik

OK...if you control the young dog it shouldn't have the opportunity to eat its' own poop!

Try this: Give 2-3 Fig Newtons the first day, 1-2 the next day, and 1 the next two days. This usually works although may not work long term (not much does).

I will also add that since we have been feeding raw we have never had a dog or puppy do this.

I have 2 females that do this off and on. A few things have worked for me. I use either canned crushed pineapple or frozen chopped spinach. I have also used S.E.P from Solid Gold, it seems to work well. It is a powder that is mixed in the dogs food.

And once cured of that, you'll then have to stop the buggers eating cat poo...

For some reason they find it irresistable
