I would call your vet and talk to him/her. Most (good) vets will give you information over the phone. As far as you female goes, the only advice I will give is that each dog handles false pregnancies different. If she is haveing a false pregnancy I would keep and eye out for Pyo too.

self regulated her exercise,
went off her food -- would not touch bones, beef, lamb or kibble
had frantic nesting,
lactated,
even had the discharge associated with a cerivical plug,
I was totaly shocked when the ultrasound was negative ------ no puppies.

Sita had her first litter, of 2 puppies, one didn't survive becasue she bit her foot. I noticed that Brick only suckled on 3 of her teats and when he was weaned, I noticed that the unused teats still looked tiny almost as they were before she became pregnant. Only the 3 teats that Brick used had changed.
A friend sent a virgin bitch to Germany for training, 6 months later, she came back lactating and all of her teats were large as if they had been used. They said that she had had a false pregnance, and that's why she had changed so much. I've always wondered if this could be true or if she was ripped of of a litter........
especially now that I saw that only Sita's used teats became longer.
Is there a place to go to find if this bitch has any registered puppies?

My friend has a frenchie that has false pregnancies almost every other heat (she has whelped in the past) she even had labor pains and went around straining as if trying to drop a pup. Freaked my friend out the first time.
