He is on Pedigree puppy food. Thats what the breeder was feeding him when we got him and they insisted we keep it the same. He eats around 1 cup three times a day right now. Thank you so mcuh for your advice. Cottage Cheese sounds like a good idea!

Let me put it this way.
Do you eat ONLY Mc Donalds Big Macs ? If not why ?? Its got salad, and meat, and bread... thats healthy right ? ( I am being silly to make a point )
You can only grow your puppy 1 time, make sure you feed better than Pedigree puppy. For the same price you can buy Diamond for large breed puppies, and its way healther. Other brands that are decent, Chicken Soup for the Soul, Innova, Avo, Diamond Naturals, ( Costco) Kirkland Chicken or the Lamb and rice formula, Taste Of the Wild, Blue Buffalo.. The bags usualy say Super Premium on them.

If you want to stay with dry food I can recommend natural brands without preservatives, artificial flavours and colours. Make sure that the meat content and vegetable content is higher than the grain content (%).
Otherwise you could add a tablespoon of Salmon Oil every day and an egg once a week.
To prevent further parasite infestation add a clove of garlic once or twice a week.
I still prefer raw meat with fine ground bones for dogs of all ages. There are lots of discussions on this topic on this board, if you browse through.
Remember that puppies need higher calcium and phosphor contents in their diet than adult dogs (raw food with ground bones and vegetables usually provide this).
All the best for your puppy!

You would be better off feeding your puppy the paper bag it came in...
There are many better feeds to choose from... all will depend on you location, financial situation, and willingness to contribute to your puppy's health.
Pick a different food, and supplement with fresh food (meat, organs, bone, eggs, dairy, fat.)
Try looking for foods at smaller pet outlets or stores. A good sign would be if the store carries frozen raw diets in a freezer.
Puppies get worms.. make sure you follow up in a few weeks with your vet and have the puppy wormed a second time. Hooks are often difficult to erradicate, and can remain in the dirt outside for some time.
