Or take him in and get him tested for EPI?

I can see his shoulder bones, and his hip bones, and his thigh bones through the fur--that's too thin.

I see there is an email on the 1st link you listed. Did you try to email direct instead of posting in a public forum where they may not see it?

OMG BlackthornGSD I seen this the other day and got teary eyed, I also wanted to post something but I didnt cause if I would have I would have been bashed and called a trouble maker. LoL you know how some on here are. Anyways that dog is horrible his coat looks ucky and he looks to be broken in the back LoL.. His back legs remind me of an old dog that their hips just give and they walk and stand funny. It is Horrible how some people treat their dogs...

I did send a private message. Then I thought, you know what, if I saw this dog in someone's yard I'd call animal control. If it was someone I was training with, I'd be horrified and I'd hope the training director/club leadership/etc would take action of some sort, starting with education and not allowing a dog in that state to be worked. If someone had told me this dog had been rescued from an abuse/neglect situation, I'd believe it.

And then I thought, people who are breeding dogs should know better when their dog is in good condition and should be called out on it when they obviously don't. I don't think it's OK to advertise dogs who are neglected on this site, and I think you should be expect to be called out on it.

And this dog is in poor coat, you can see his bones, and he has very little muscling--he's not just thin and muscled, "working weight" --he's not just a skinny growing young dog. This dog has started digesting muscle because of lack of nutrition. A dog person, someone who trains, someone who breeds, should be able to recognize this and should take action to fix it--starting with a vet visit.

My 20 month old female is not quite that bad but similar.  Just had her tested for EPI since no amount of food was working.  I'll have the test results back in about a week.  Weight at 8 months old 66 lbs and now at 20 months old 62 lbs.   Very bony like the one pictured but since her coat is thicker you can't see them as well.

That is bone rack thin.  I wouldn't have the balls to even post her for sale if she were mine.  Wow.

EPI is certainly a possibility.  We can't see the dogs in the background to see their condition clearly, but they don't look overweight either.

Wow. I was thinking he was about 6 months old. But according to his pedigree page, he was born in 1996 2006, so he's 4.
