Scary!

are the parents line bred on any of the same dogs already, if so do not buy this dog or do this breeding. If one or both of the parents are open this breeding may be possible, what are you asking for or looking to get out of this

My girl is a 4,5 on Ursus, but I generally don't care for dogs with closer linebreeding than 3,4 on any particular dog.
I would think, 2,3 on Yasko, watch for big, soft ears.

Typical computer generated linebreeding chart which is incorrect!
The dog is linebred on Yasko 3-2, not the rest of the dogs which are the parents and both grandparents of Yasko and naturally appear twice in the pedigree as well. No breed organization would chart it like that. At the same time, computers do not recognize littermates either and would not show that kind of linebreeding. Therefore, knowledge and homework is always needed when pairing up a possible mating.
In this case, I would never ever linebreed that closely on Yasko. While he certainly was a nice dog with a lot of good progeny, linebreeding on him could be devastating for ear carriage. Nowadays, you can recognize a lot of dogs having inherited the "Yasko ears".

on my girl, she has 1 line to Ursus thru her sire, which is a Larus son/Yasko gr.son. and another line to Ursus on her maternal side thru Angie von den Amperauen. She also carries Ursus sire Hobby, not just thru Ursus, but also thru Qrick von der Wienerau. Her mom is a 2,3 on Enzo Buchhorn.
so on sires side:
Linebreeding - 5 generations
5,5 - 5........................................... in VA1 Zamb von der Wienerau
5,5 - 4........................................... in VA1 Jeck vom Noricum
4 - 3............................................. in VA1 (I) Hobby vom Gletschertopf
5 - 4............................................. in V Quitta von der Ehrenfeste
and on mom's:
Linebreeding - 5 generations
4 - 5............................................. in VA1 (DK) Folemarkens Jasso
3 - 4............................................. in VA1 Lasso vom Neuen Berg
4 - 5............................................. in V Eike vom Neuen Berg
4 - 5............................................. in V 23 Nilo von Adeloga
4 - 5............................................. in V8 Susi vom Lechtal
3 - 4............................................. in V Tina vom Lechtal
2 - 3............................................. in VA4 Enzo von Buchhorn
any comments on her linebreeding anyone?
I'd rather linebreed thru another Ursus bred dog, besides Yasko. I've seen that you lose alot of black on them, and they typically have very little black on the face, with big Ole weak ears.

Enzo Buchhorn could mean light eyes! He has produced a lot of those! The rest is just like I mentioned above - parents and grandparents, no linebreeding on them.
As to all the Jeck progeny (Ursus, Yasko etc.), lots of genetic bottlenecks! Even if you only linebreed in the 4th and 5th generation, you need to look at the inbreeding coefficience. It is downright scary!
I do not have time to google more right now, but look at the wikipedia site: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inbreeding and scroll down to the calculations. That is how you calculate the inbreeding coefficience. Even seemingly unrelated dogs (first 5 generations) could be inbreeding depressed.

This is what he looks like....
Yasko is on the "inside" of his pedigree.
He is of medium to medium size, has solid temperament, a very good grip and lots of drive
.
Oh, and had OFA Excellent hips and normal elbows.......

by Uber Land on 15 June 2010 - 19:06
doesn't really appear Yasko type to me

by Silbersee on 15 June 2010 - 20:06
Oh yes yes, very Yasko typical - especially the wide ear set (I have an Erasmus-daughter at home with the same kind of ear set). But nonetheless, beautiful male. I remember when that litter was born. His breeder was so happy about this breeding. The mother is a super nice female!
