My dog has been eating off and on for a few days now and its pissin me off. Should i change food because he is bored with it? All his energy and everything else is the same. Should i excercise him more maybe? I want to rule everything out before i take him to the vet.

Im pissed because it took me a while to find something he wouldnt piss out of his ass with (allergic to chicken i have found out) and Natural Balance Lamb and Rice did the trick but now he seems bored.

Can you guys suggest another alternative so i can get him back on a regular eating schedule. Thanks a lot.

if the food itself seems to be agreeing with him, stick with it, but just add some goodies.  cottage cheese, yogurt, raw egg are always good things to add.

Sometimes they do that.My one boy use to do that with Royal Canin all the time. Now not as often since changing but there are sometimes  when they will just fast themselves. Also the Natural Balance is high in grains.I know cause it has been a food I tried recently and I called there customer service for the percentages. The only thing that I would look at is his teeth. Are his teeth ok?No pain that you can tell?Other than that I would just put the food down and dont make a big deal out of it.Leave it 15 minutes and if he does'nt eat then put it away till the next feeding. It may also be that his nutrient requirements are being met and he is not hungry. He will eat when he is hungry.I know how you feel though cause I did go through the same thing and it was bugging me too.Good luck

Ok cool. When i see him not eat i just feel like something is wrong because i think he should be eating ya kno? I might throw an egg in there i just dont want it to turn into him HAVING to HAVE the egg in his food just to eat it. But once in a while couldnt hurt im sure.

And his teeth are fine he does regular bitework.

Natural Balance is high in grains but idk if the brown rice is helping his sotmach or the not having chicken is because trust me i would love to put him on grain free.

Could it be that there are some other underlying changes in your environment?
Are there any females in heat he might have sniffed out?
Did a human leave that was with your family?
Hormonal changes, grief, changes in the environment etc can all be triggers for lack of appetite.
My male dog needed one or two days without food every now and then (usually a fasting day a week, sometimes two), but he was perfectly healthy and energetic.
Try to feed little bits of raw beef or freeze dried liver treats (just as treats, not as main meal). If he is not eating that, I would get a vet check soon.
