Subject: URGENT, PLEASE HELP ME SAVE LIVES
6-2-2010
To All Who Love the German Shepherd Dog,
Please help me save the lives of three innocent German Shepherds. My name is Tonya Dease and I live in Troy, Alabama and am currently working on getting in to Vet school. I was at my vet’s office today discussing my application for Vet School when he brought something distressing to my attention.
To begin, within the city where I live there is no animal shelter really to speak of so the situation is pretty gloomy. My Vet takes in animals that the Sheriff’s department brings him and he does the best he can to find homes for the animals. My vet cares for the animals the best he can with little or no assistance from the county or city, he just does it because he cares. The animals just keep being brought and unfortunately he eventually has to put perfectly healthy animals to sleep because of the ignorance of the prior owners involved.
I am writing all of you because I am looking for someone to help 3 of my new friends. My vet received a owner surrender because they had killed some chickens. They are purebred German Shepherd Dogs with the classic black and tan coloring and are really large in size, really gorgeous dogs. I don’t know exactly how old they are but it is the mother and father and their son. I think the puppy is maybe 5 or 6 months old, I am not sure.
They seem real sweet but I guess they have that prey drive like shepherds have and the owners weren’t prepared for that. The threesome is due to be euthanized this weekend but I am sure that if I can make some concrete arrangements for them we can work something out until we can get them transported.
Please help me give them another chance at life; they shouldn’t have to suffer because of the stupidity of their human owners. Please feel free to email me or text me or call me anytime at the number given below if you can help.
