when you click on "Historical VA List" here on the left under Collections, you will get your answer.
Yes, there have been others like Larus Batu, Uran WS, Quando Arminius, Natan Pelztierfarm, Fanto Hirschel etc. who have been awarded VA-1 twice.
There has not been any Sieger Show in 2010 yet. The Sieger Show always take place around late August to early September. This year, it will be from September 03-05, 2010.

Royal1,
There are alot of reasons that some dogs will start out at a "lower rank" and move up to the VA1 position.....and rightly so.
Progeny groups play a major role in which dogs move up( at least in theory) and this is as it should be. Performance on the day "that it counts"; at the Sieger Show, bitework, "who owns the dog", etc....judges are also influenced by their own preferred type.
Since the time of the "split" in the breed between working and show lines, there have not been many dogs from working lines presented at the BSZS.....some,but not many. The goals are much different for the workingline folks; there focus is on the work primarily, often with aspirations to compete at high levels in that venue( LGA,WUSV,FCI,BSP).
In recent years, some of the better known kennels have tried to bring the two lines together, frequently with promising results.
