Shampooing - Page 1

Why is it that almost everything I read on GSD's suggest only bathing them once or twice a year then I read here every once in a while about people bathing their dogs more than that.  Following the suggestion of bathing them once or twice a year, our dogs seem just fine as long as I keep them brushed and the only bath they get is playing in the water in the summer.   All our dogs are mainly house dogs (3) and I don't ever notice anything foul, neither do our family or friends and I do ask them when they come in our house.  What's the deal?

I have 7 dogs and I like to bath them once in a while if the summer is very hot I give them a bath it is just once per year as they get groomed every day and their coats are great when they are sheeding they get groomed more I also have a cocker she is lemon and white now she has to get a bath ever 2 weeks as she looks dirty when she has been out with my gsds and if it has been wet out well the mud just sticks to her coat she also gets groomed every day if the dog needs a bath give it one if it does not need one then leave it that is what I do
