I have noticed the term 'social aggression' used on some Working GSD sites. It is seen as a desirable trait. Would someone explain what 'social aggression' is, please?

My understanding is it's another expression for "Civil Drive" which is also misleading as it refers to a dog that can display a genuine aggression towards people. Not an out of control, nasty dog but one with a bit more venon than most i.e. if you slip the sleave the dog still focuses on the subject and will bite.
Contrary to popular belief its not very common, I have even read that only 20% of KNPV dogs possess genuine social aggression.
Hopefully it will be expalined better by the more experienced breeders and trainers on here.
