My name is Sue and I live in Western NY. I am owned by 2 rescues...both GSD.
Das, my bicolor I know is purebred......Sadie my new girl, I was told she is.
Das is a 8 year old male with hypothyroidism....we just got the results of the blood work yesterday.
Sadie will be a year old in June...she looks black but I think she will end up being a black sable...I know only that her previous ower did not take care of her very well...she's very skinny.
Das...sitting pretty

Sadie

I'd like some input on Sadie....I think she's all GSD...but she's got really long legs.
Both dogs are great....Das has the best temperment anyone could ask for. Sadie is eager to learn and catching on quickly.

We already have Debi Sue and Sue B and both are of the best on the board, I think all the Sues must be good.
Sadie looks a full GSD to me, only her black is somwhat reddish(brownish). Both look great to me and it looks like you're doing a great job on them. BLESS you.

Welcome Sue,
Sadie looks all shepherd to me...some do have long legs. Das actually looks to have short legs but it could just be the angle of the picture. Both are very pretty. I hope you are able to get a good kennel built for these sweet dogs. I hate to see a GSD on a chain. They really don't do well chained up. They certainly look well cared for however! Well loved obviously. Feel free to share more pics any time!

Thanks for the imput.
Sadie's brownish coat looks to be puppy fur....very soft and shedding...when I first got Das he had a reddish coat too....put him on some good food and it fell out and his beautiful black came in.
On the back of Sadie's shoulders she is showing agouti coloring.
About their being on chains....they are out on them about 2 hours a day at most.....they live inside and go for long walks.
I've been told GSD don't do good in kennel situations.....they do best when they are with their people and I believe this.

Sue,
I agree as I keep Echo in the house with me but then, we have a fenced yard also. Good to hear you just put them out to "air" for a couple of hours. That certainly won't hurt them. They look like happy dogs.
