Hank scored 300 points at the LGA

that would indeed be a sensation, but untrue!!
The LGAs are not held until August. LGA = Landesgruppenausscheidungsprüfung, meaning the Regional Qualification Trial for the BSP! To even be permitted to the LGA, you have to qualify in normal trials first. How often a handler has to qualify is determined by the region he or she lives in. I think it is common to qualify with a score of 275 or higher at least twice, if not three times.
The LGAs held in August will determine the teams that are permitted to go to the BSP (the rankings reach from 2 to 10, depending on the size of the regions), plus the 10 first placements of the German FCI National Qualification Trial, 6 teams of the DJJM (the Youth and Junior Championships - each can send the first three placements, provided that they get an overall score of at least SG or better and TSB pronounced, plus the hosting region is also allowed to send two additional teams which would not count to their permissable allotment.
The owner of Hank wrote on his working-dog.eu page that he made the first qualification requirement in a regular club trial to go to the LGA, not quite there yet.
Regardless, the 300 points is a super achievement which most of us can only dream of. I wonder how many handlers ever scored a perfect 300?

So this was a qualifying trial for the LGA?....My bad!

Am Sonntag, den 18. April 2010 habe ich mit Hank vom Weinbergblick die erste Quali für die LGA Bayern-Süd 2010 bestanden, mit dem Traumergebnis von:

•100 - 100 - 100 = 300 Punkten Vorzüglich

Yep, this is his first qualifying score.

Thank you for clarifying it, Chris, and I wanted to do the same thing on the GSD-Euro list when I saw the comment this morning.  He looks very good on the video and owned by one of the best handlers and trainers, Helmut Huber, so I won't be surprised if he does well at the LGA and even the BSP.  Hank scored 300 points in Schutzhund 1, 296 points in Schutzhund 2, and 300 points in Schutzhund 3.  I think the OG Waldkraiburg club is a very good training club as is reflected by the scores of some of the other dogs from the same club.  The club also has a number of dogs bred by the Weinbergblick kennel which has produced a number of top competition dogs over the years.

You are welcome, Ajay. I have to check if he participated in the pre-quali trials for the FCI which are going on right now. Most of the regions are done as far as I could see but LG 07 has their trial this weekend.

Never mind, I just checked. Hank was not entered in that event. Xanto vom Weinbergsblick was (also from the OG Waldkraiburg). He came in 5th.
