Even David Payne on the front of the dog papers said we have had problems with this 'for decades' and that bloke from Germany also said there are problems - so why have these dogs been allowed to be shown and even worse win? Who are breeding and showing them? And even worse, which judges have been putting them up? I watched a class at Manchester and the judge moved several dogs across and back together. A very well known all rounder who likes the 'correct' type said to me -'and they don't think they have got problems?' All of them could have knitted a sweater with their hocks if they had been given a ball of wool and all of them were PLACED.
If you all go off and start having your own shows, who is going to ensure that only good representatives are shown and win if judges/exhibitors cannot see that there is a problem?
I have no doubt some of these dogs had their health tests, but if they are not conformationally sound what is the point of a piece of paper.
If you cannot accept that these dogs do exist and need to be removed from the showing/breeding pool then things can only get worse.

You're either for us, or 'agin us, seems to be the attitude. And if you say there is ANYTHING wrong with our dogs, you must support [shudder!] those DREADFUL Alsatians!
I say, 'first remove the plank from you own eye, so you can see to remove the splinter from the other person's eye"! Roach-backed, cow hocked dogs which can't even hold onto the sleeve in protection aren't going to win any respect for the breed. Nor is a dog club (the S.V.) that is rife with corruption.

"but we know that there is a problem with a few hocky dogs and good judges have been dealing with it in the ring"
so now missbeeb acknowledges the problem too - so why blame the KC for trying to do something about it? The KC have never said you could not keep on health testing, never said you could not have Sieger type shows and have definitely never said they would be picking the judges so as someone once said on here before this is all so much smoke and mirrors trying to avoid the real issues.

A for instance jo Bloggs has a nice pet dog Julie Public has a nice pet bitch so they let them mate bitch gets preg has pups Julie Public sends of the registrations for the pups with the money KC register them no health tests no pedigree check but the dogs are over 1 year old and under 8 so that is the only requirement do you honestly think that is the correct way to go

I have and young dog 18 months with loose hocks and this does not affect her health in any way
I take her out twice a day running at about three or four miles per hour for about one hour
I know the distance and speed as I am disabled and use my mobility scooter to take her out.
she has hips of 3-7=10 and elbows 0-0=0.

Sounds like you watched the YouTube clip of the Manchester show with the whinny dialog about the "poor dogs who can hardly walk". So who are the bad breeders? People who breed untitled crappy dogs to their untitled crappy bitches and charge 300 -400 dollars for them , telling the inexperience ignorant buyers about "great" pedigrees. If you care about the breed, worry more about the nervy fear biters being bred to nervy fear biters.
