Archania

by Archania on 29 March 2010 - 19:03

I have been trying to research and add some of my old dogs pedigrees to the database, however one of the pedigrees appears to be horribly wrong !

Does anyone have any information on Marlish Vienna, Marlish Karate King, or Marlish Oridle ?

If it helps i have the following information which i think is incorrect

marlish Vienna - Sire Marlish Karate King - Dam Marlish Oridle

Marlish Karate King - Sire Druidswood Consort - Dam Dunmonaidh faber of markinch

Marlish Oridle - Sire Rossfort Premonition - Dam vawbar fernando

Spellings might be completly off, but any help would be appricated !

Edit

Also looking for information on a Mascani Aqharhanrsa ?

Sire listed as Sango Jon Saynback ?
Dam as Amito Jon Saynback ?

Hi Archainia,

I have never bred a Mascani Aqharhanrsa. This name does not exist.   Obviously if the sire and dam of this supposed Mascani dog were as you post above, I would have bought in the dog, and my affix of Mascani would have to be added at the end of the name, unless I owned the dam.   I have never heard of the sire and dam, and never registered a Mascani dog of the name above.

Marlish ladies are in the UK and I would think that they can help you with the rest, I would be very interested to where you go your info on the Mascani name.

Regards

Mo.

I THORT DUNMONAIDH FABER OF MARKINCH WER A MALE.

It's a strong Possibility that Faber could be male.

The pedigree i have seems to be a complete load of ******

Names are mixed up, i have dams in sires, some names on the pedigree are not in the breeding - its a bit of a mess, but im trying to work my way through and make up a correct pedigree.

Mo, thank you for the clarification on the affix, it's lucky for me that you are here and able to verify.

The dog whose pedigree this is was born on 06/07/88, so quite a long time ago, and the name mascani Aqharhanrsa appears as the GGG grandparent on the mothers side.

This Fictional Mascani dam was mated to an Alexbrioa Jarzan, producing Pentaras Princess - who i do seem to have a KC number for - does anyone know if i can request a copy of pedigrees from the KC ?

The question im going to ask now, is has anyone ever heard of an affix of saynback ?

I guess its one of those things, i have a pedigree which isnt what it seems, and i guess im just on a mission now to find out what the correct pedigree is !

Hi ARchania,

I am now going to root through records, as you say 1988 was a long time ago, and I may have forgotten a name that I registered, although I have to say I dont know where on earth I would have got that name from.   Alexbria though is an up and running kennel and you will find their owners very helpful.  PM me, and I will give the the Alexbria information..

Also, just a thought, if the pedigree of this supposed dam was handwritten through the generations, it mayh be a completely different name, and not spelled correctly.  I have a dob to work on now so will let you know.    Mo

Hi Mo

That would be fantastic if you don't mind !. I will send you a PM - thank you so much for your help, it really is appriciated.

It really is a mystery and im not even sure i can take any of the information on the pedigree as correct.

The pedigree is all handwritten, and although names do appear, they are not in the right places and some of them are not spelled anywhere near correctly..

The Dam's Side i am drawing a total blank on now, most of that does seem to be made up ( literally ! ), i can find one name, but then its listed on here as having totally different parents, or those parents appear on the sires side.....etc.....etc........

If anyone knows the person that has the Marlish affix, do they come on this board ? There's a number listed on the Internet for them, but i don't want to bug anyone for something that is really pretty unimportant to anyone but me !.

There was a nice Marlish sable dog some years back.  Have you tried the KC for info re: the owner of the affix?

Hi There

I have called the kennel club this morning, suprisingly they were actually pretty helpful !

( there is a Nominal fee involved, i guess from what i have read on the board, thats why they were so helpful ! /sarcasm )

As i have registration numbers for the sire and Dam, plus the registered addresses of the owners, and the dogs are now dead, they ( for a fee ) can send me a copy of the details they hold on each, so i have requested both.

Then hopefully, my mystery dog, might not be such a mystery, and i can start building a proper pedigree for him !!
