Does anyone have info on this breeder???? - Page 1

I'm looking for info on this breeder, Thomas Sauerhoefer - Swinger Von Heidelberger Schloss, from the Marysville CA area. Is he an honest, ethical breeder??

used to live in Texas I think. 

hadn't heard anything bad.  and generally you hear about breeders on this site if they've sold bad or sick dogs.

Havent heard anything bad either I live 2 hours from them I bought a female from a girl who trains with him in schutzhund..She bought her dogs from him...I only hear good things from them..

I thought the name rang a bell, so I did the easy thing and Googled it:

Motion to accept the Board of Inquiry's recommendation of a five-year expulsion of Thomas Sauerhoefer's
membership from the USA organization. This expulsion is to include, but not limited to, all USA activities of
club membership, training, trialing, showing, breeding - registration, and advertising.
Also recommend that Mr. Sauerhoefer make restitution to the Laurita's in the amount of $1,000.00, as it
is the amount he charged them to attain the BH which never occurred. Mr. Sauerhoefer may reapply for
membership after the five-year expulsion has been completed, and his application shall be reviewed. However,
this may not guarantee renewal of his membership depending on the circumstances leading up to his
application.

From what I've observed over the years, USA does not have a history of actually taking punitive action against a member when a charge is filed with the organization.  Make of it what you will. 

Yep......I remember him being kicked out of UScA as well as Hexe has referred to above. And for them to do something like that says a lot as they generally do little with ethics complaints. I would certainly recommend you deal very carefully with him, if at all, and that you talk to MANY people who supposedly have had good dealings with him, as well as make sure you know what you are doing contract wise. He may be legit and on the up and up now, but do your homework.

Thanks Hexe and Hodie !!! I knew something was a miss, something just didn't seem right. I talked to Thomas before I started working with Jim Lempner and John Riboni from Placer County Schutzhund Club (PCSC). John is helping me find a pup. Thanks again for the info, I just wanted to follow up on my suspisions.
