Anyone have any experience with PRAA?

Would you consider breeding a bitch who produced a pup with PRAA in her first litter?  just found out a bitch who was sent to me produced a pup with PRAA, after the fact of getting her here ect.  I don't have alot of experience with this problem  and not sure how to approach this inregards to the mother and the genetic factors of it.

Yes almost 4 years ago one of my bitches had a litter of 6 and one was diagnosed at 7 weeks with PRAA, he had surgery at 8 weeks and as far as I know he is still well.

To answer your question she had previously had 2 litters and all was fine, but I did keep a bitch from the litter that produced the PRAA  and she has only had 1 litter with no defects.

I am not sure that it is relevant  ( but I think it is ) I do know that the same stud dog was used on another bitch that  delivered a puppy with Megaesophagus.
