Can anyone recommend breeders in Europe who have DDR or part DDR stud dogs?

Many thanks for your replies. I am in the UK and looking to import semen (don't want to passport my bitch) but want to take a look at the dogs and USA is rather a long way to go! Europe is easily accessible for me. Thanks for the thought though. Any other breeder recommendations? Does anyone know how I could contact the Grafental Kennel?

jimbean,
you can forget importing semen from Germany, unless the breeders defy the SV regulations. But that would mean that you will not be able to register that resulting litter!
So, you will need to look elsewhere or take your female physically to the stud.

Damn! Might have guessed it wouldn't be that easy! Thanks for the advice. Back to square one. Would this be the same for other European countries do you know?

Try Sweden, DDR bloodlines are popular with some kennels there. And of course there's always Czech Republic and Slovakia, where many dogs retain DDR phenotype.
I'm sure Sweden allows it, I'm not sure about the Czech and Slovakia.

Will check out DDR in Sweden for now, thanks again for the info. Mayanser has a DDR youngster but sire is the same as my bitch unfortunately. The DDR male they sold to Cornwall has a 1 elbow and I really want 0-0 elbows. Other than those 2 DDR males I can't find any others in the UK so thought it may be worth going further afield! Thanks again for all the info. Any other ideas gratefully received.

I am glad this was brought up. I for one did not know that Haus Iris was still around...

I wonder how much "old stock" (pre '89) is still coursing through the veins...
