I have a solid black male German Shepherd and I worry that he may be getting to big! He is so full and heavy stock. Can a GSD get to big?

Genetics will play a card in you dogs frame. If you are worried about this seek out your board certified orthopod and have them evaluate your dog and his weight. This will allow you to understand when big is too big.

yes!!! they certainly can get too big. gsds were never meant too be a giant breed. some of them are already too big and some are getting close. it is really a concern for those who want to keep the breed functional.
