what should be fed to pregnant GSD?

Mine eats strictly raw (and lots of it). She is due in about 10 days and looks like a million bucks. She obviously feels great too, really excited, energetic, and cheerful! She's the little bi in my avatar.

Her diet is most important AFTER she's whelped. You should be able to feed her whatever she normally eats right now, but after birth of the pups, she will need her food increased, and should have something with higher protein/calories so she can keep up with nursing.

Bitches food requirements change at about six weeks. She needs increasing amounts of food from six weeks into her pregnancy and should therefore go onto a higher protein feed at this stage if you are feeding a complete diet. She will need to have ad lib food all the time she is feeding the puppies ( again, high protein food), and we keep our girls on this until they come back into full coat and condition long after the puppies have left home.

its really reccomended to start performance food 30/20 or higher even before the bitch is bred, prenatal nutrition is crucial to whelping healthy puppies and low mortality rates

well balanced diet with plenty of vitamins and minerals and some cooked meat.
towards then end of her pregnance, about 1.5 to 2 times the amount she is usually getting, is she looks skinny feed more.
