Yep looks like a liver, if the nose leather is brown, then it is a liver.
They aren't rare, they aren't special just a dilute gene that isn't desireable.
Don't pick a pup based on the colour, pick the pup that is right for you, based on it's temperament and what you want the dog for, or to do. :)

Hopefully the breeder realizes the pups are liver, now knows both of his breeding dogs carry this faulty gene, and won't breed them again - and will sell the liver puppies with a spay/neuter contract. won't hold my breath though.

Thanks again, I am just used to the blacks and dark sables, this one stood out as well...wierd!
And yes all her pups were being sold with a spay/neuter included in pricing. They were owner surrender rescues.
I just personally train for my own use. Just a working pet so to speak.

If the dog has drive and you are looking for a good sporting companion there is no reason to not pick that pup regardless of the coat color is a "fault" or not.
