Is it me or does this dog look positively deformed in the rear legs?

Yup it does look that he's got weak hind legs, but then a photo can tell u only so much...may be he was not stacked properly...however there is a lot left to be desired with him.

Looks to be extremely cow-hocked and weak in the rear.  Way too much angulaton.  Sad.

by SitasMom on 09 February 2010 - 13:02

seems like his pasterns are very long and he's on the back of his front feet, could this also be the stack?

It could be the stack, it is almost as frightening to think the seller thinks he looks good stacked like that as it is to think he actually DOES look like that.

It looks like the dogs slipping ... not my type anyways, but not the best stack on the planet.

Poor thing, I would hope that the stack had much to do with it, but why on earth post a photo that represents your dog so poorly?  jackie harris

This thread alone is backing up my contention the stack should be eliminated and dogs judged as they stand naturally.

Even if the stance was correct the hind legs would still be weak and not look right.  The dog is definitely cow hocked and would be unsound going away.  I agree with Margaret on this one.

You suppose they photoshopped out the person pressing on the dog's rear?
