Hey I just recieved the paperwork for pick up of the dog. I also just noticed that my dog was born on 12/15/2009..... with that being said those who have seen the pictures of the puppy, does it seem that the puppy is kind of large for only being less than 2 months old????? I posted pictures of the pup in the previous thread and also attached another pic here..jpg)

Looks awful big to me for less than 8wks...as of today...just when was the picture taken. Take that into consideration too. I'm thinking this pup is older than what your paperwork indicates. Let us know what you find out.

Not uncommon for Germany to "change" whelp dates........sometimes too many breedings for a particular stud for the month, sometimes waiting to verify pregnancy, etc.......but not uncommon.

I looked up your previous post dated 01/15 and he was only 6wks old in this photo? I dunno...still looks big to me. Do they have pics of other pups at this age that you can compare him to? Out of other litters I mean.

When puppy is older than 10 weeks the air travel cost becomes more, it is a common practice for European breeders to make DOB less than 9 weeks at the time of shipment (i.e in the passport and travel docs) but on the pedigree it will be the actual DOB.

Ahhhh...now that makes sense. Thanks for that info Ibrahim...I've never shipped a pup so that is news to me. I would have been very alarmed if this were me going thru this.
I was hoping it was a typo or something because if his age was legit...that would be one big puppy!
Can't wait until he is delivered and we get to see current pics.
