I have a 7 ( born Jun 16, 2009) months old black/tan male GSD. He is going to be a family pet. His ears stand up sometime but flop down most of th time. They stand up while he is running hard and in cold temps. My vet tried taping the ears, I also tried with foam roller and tape but could not keep the tape for long as he was allergic to the glue on the tape and formed blisters . He currently weight 72 lbs and 25" tall at shoulder, so I guessing he growing healthly. He was also neutered @ 6 months age.
As he is going to be a family pet I am not too concerned about his ears but if I can get them up without causing too much pain for him I would like to try. I am also giving him a calcium vitamin supplement for the past one month.
Any suggestions

There are tendons under the jaw that run up to the ears and if they are really strong it helps with the ears.
Don't give your dog cooked bones because cooking makes the bone brittle and it can splinter and seriously injure or kill your dog.
There are lots of people here who are very expert in ears, I just know about the tendons and it worked for me. Dogs love chicken.
