Is there a way to access the avid data base online? I would like to verify that all my dogs are registered correctly. Ghia's registration was done by her breeder and Taz registration was done by our vet.. I went onto Avid's web site but did not find a way to access information about our dogs.

Unless you are registered with them with authority to access the database and issued with a PIN you cannot access any of the chip databases, I assume they come under Data Protection. Your vet should be able to check for you.
