Feedback on my 8 month GSD pup? - Page 1

 Hey guys.  New to this here.  I am a first-time GSD owner, although I have been waiting pretty much my whole life to become one!  Been busy with training and cannot believe how smart he is and how easily he is picking up things.  I also can't believe how big he is already.  Just wanted to post a few pictures and am anxious to hear any feedback.  Thanks!  -Phil

I agree, very handsome fella and I too have to ask, what happened to his tongue.  Looks like it must have hurt like blazes.  He looks like he's eastie-westie in the first pic but better in the 2nd one.  I'd like to see a stacked pic of him.  He looks like a pretty nice dog.  Good color, nice head, ears look good.  What are your plans for him?

Thank you!  I appreciate the feedback.  His name is Kuno von den blauen Bergen, just turned 8 months yesterday.  He does have a nasty slice on his tongue that he has had since I got him at 8 weeks old.  It happened sometime between 6 weeks old when I visited the breeder and when I picked him up two weeks later.  Had six stiches in his tongue when I got him.  Breeder noticed it was sliced about 3/4 of the way across during a handling session but did not find any blood and he didn't appear to be in any real pain b/c he was chewing on teething keys without a problem.  So we aren't really sure what happened.  It healed up quite a bit but I think he will always have it torn a little.  Thought about a different pup from the litter but he was the one I was most impressed with each time I visited.  Just adds a little personality!  Not sure what my plans are for him yet.  Been talking to people from the local GSD club about some advanced training like tracking or herding at some point later in the future.  Interested in Schutzhund, but other than reading about it I wouldn't know how to begin.  We'll see!     -Phil
