I was looking at this picture of Strauss, critiquing as I went. I do this quite frequently, even though nothing else will change on this dog. I don't know why, I just do.
I just wanted to know what your impression was of him from these pictures (minus his feet as I know they are hidden, and I know his saddle is poor).
I've always thought he was a relatively short coupled dog, but find myself wondering if he's not a bit long.

This is really just for a better view of his topline (added background):

xeph, I may not be normal, but the absolute last thing I look at in a dog is color. To me your dog is correct as far as length of coupling. Back is solid and straight and croup looks to have good length. If you placed his front legs just an inch or so further back it would improve the look of his upper arm placement.

Your dog is very nice!
Love that topline.

Rik, he moved ONE foot as the picture was taken (the one in the foreground) >.< I must admit if it weren't for that one foot I'd probably say that the first is the best stacked photo I have of him. In other words, I agree with what you said about his foot placement (darn him!), lol.
SitasMom, thank you for the compliment xD I really like him :D Better working dog I don't think I'll ever find, but I'm biased :)
