He is 15 months(GSD) old. I took him to the vet because he was limping, the vet took x-rays and said that my boy has Lumbosacral stenosis. I don't know what to do. The vet told me to just take him home and let him rest. I was told that the only other option was surgery which is $5k-10k and that it might not cure him. Does anyone have any experience owning a GSD with this condition? I am sad because he is so young and I fear that he won't live a happy normal life. Any suggestions?comments? Please help us.

You can go to a nero specialist and have an MRI done to see. They will be able to suggest what therapy options can be done to slow the progress. I hope this helps.
