Was crusing sites today and came across this fellow....  was wondering why I hadn't heard more comments about him?  Not only is he quite handsome, he offers some genetic diversity to the lines that are dominating the winning show lines these days...

What's the story about him?

Silbersee

He is a beautiful dog with a lot of "presence". I watched him 4 weeks ago in Germany at a show where he placed V-1 (beating Ilbo vom Holtkämper See and Paer vom Hasenborn). We will have to see if he is capable of passing his traits on to his offspring, and more importantly, produce healthy dogs. I have been contemplating using him with one of my females too, but that all depends on when she comes into season and how booked he is. His ZW currently is 92.

A dog I have admired for quite a while now and one to look out for I reckon.

Personally....I love the dog.
I think he is stunning and extremely handsome!  I like the pedigree also.
Would love to see some "older" progeny as the months pass........really considering sending a female to him for breeding, next year.

Thanks.... Guess that my eye is still good... LOL.  It's been years since I was involved in any show stuff, but when I saw him, and watched both his bite work and the VA parade, and his class gaiting he impressed me.  I expected to see the same 4 dogs in the first couple generations, and was plesantly surprised to see a rather different pedigree.   He's still a youngster himself, but the pups looked nice overall (pictures only) and I'm hoping for everyone, and the sake of the breed gene pool that he will produce as good or better than he is.  Will be watching to see his kids and his future.

No, It's not a top working dog bite scession, but he looks honest.

Check out this head shot of Shicco that I took at the Siegerschau in August.

Enjoy, Nadia
