Hello,

I have a question for the experienced folks.

On the pedigree database, a male GSD is shown with the following hip rating:   FCI  B 1/2.

Could someone with expertise on the subject please explain the rating and what the SV equivalent would be.

Also, if only the FCI rating was conducted, could the owner of that dog honestly say that the dog is "A" stamped without having an SV hip evaluation conducted ?

Thanks in advance

Vinegarjoe

FCI B rating is considered equivalent to SV "fast normal"
FCI A rating is considered equivalent to SV "normal"
FCI C-rating is considered equivalent to SV"noch zugelassen"

each letter rating is split up again, like B+(1) and B-(2), so a hip rating B1,2 is right in the middle of a foreign "fast normal".
The dog is considered "a" stamped because the SV recognizes the FCI ratings, just not the differentiations they make, the dog is considered as a foreign a-stamp, an a6.
