I had read else where that the 2013 Worlds are to be held by the GSDCA - they don't even recognize a schutzhund title !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND they have totally dismissed the GSDCA-Working Dog Association in this matter. Plus, the SV, warts and all won't recognize the AKCs WDS title. It only has to do with the "100th anniversary" of the parents club that has done so much for the working traits of our breed.

Wow! Is it only about $ and the appearance that the GSDCA gives a shit about working traits and temperament? Can any good come of this?

Rama, the GSDCA is recognizing schutzhiund titles in their titles section.

And as Sitasmom wisely stated...we'll wait and see...

I believe the GSDCA is recognizing schutzhund as a WDS title, but the SV does not recognize that title

First, where did you read this?

Second, the GSDCA recognizes FCI titles for PAM awards and such.

Couldn't this be a step in the right direction?

Is it possible that this will draw American show people to watch?

I think this could have great possibilities and be a turning point.

Schutzhund has been around for almost 40 years. Pretty sure they have heard of it.

LOL, I know that. But maybe this will actually get some of them to come see it, and once you see it, I bet some of them (can't have everything) are certainly going to want to try it. I know I would.
