Hello Hurrah,
My advice to you is not to rush into buying any puppy just yet.  You need to start your research at home first by visiting relevant websites, clubs, trainers, handlers and the dogs.  The last thing you want to end up with is a poorly breed puppy (sold as "top dog") with health issues and lacking in nerves and temperament.

Start by visiting the clubs near you and formulate your own opinions.

Take time in your research and you will at least get close to what your heart desire.

Please clarify, do you mean  Canada or California?

Puppies are always a gamble. eventhough their parents can be perfectly healthy, you can and up with HD or ED puppy. The OFA finds that 19% of all GSD X-rays submitted do not pass.

Its heartbreaking the find out that the puppy that you've been training for 9 months has hip dysplacia.....been there, done that.

Sometimes it a good idea to find an older puppy that has been started that has had prelims, or is alreay certified...

Here is a puppy out of Hanny, a bitch that I just bought. He's 4 months old. I can put you in contact with the seller.

His dam is a VS-2, IPO3 and SVV3.....

If this is what you have in mind.

What a handsome puppy, SitasMom.  Very attractive.

But again, please COMPREHEND - the OP is specifically looking for a FEMALE puppy, not a male.   Yet again you spout off saying "If this is what you have in mind," totally ignoring what people actually want in order to push what's on YOUR mind.

I second poseidon's view of going out to the clubs.  Don't be in a rush.  There are far too many people just aching to take your money for a dog that may not be right for you.  Look around and see who has what, what they're like in training, and ideally you'll find a breeder in your area who will totally support you as a novice to the sport.  If you end up getting a puppy from someone you trust and who is actively training near you, that can be really wonderful when you're just starting out.  Follow poseidon's advice.

Good luck!

OH, my TessJ10, don't you think that just MABYE there were females in this litter too?

You are such a shallow bitch that has to dis EVERYTHING that I post, you are a stalker..................will you please just GROW UP?

BTW - Hurrah

Hanny is pregenant and her due date is mid October........puppies will be ready by Christmas........

Do your research, and decide what you want...........

I can offer you is a beautiful puppy, from certified, titled stock, that are tough and should be able to take you the SchH distance.......and possibly the sieger circuit too.

I bought Hanny from www.eurosportk9.com already bred........they know what their doing....the puppies sould be wonderful

If you're not experienced as a trainer... especially if  you haven't done any training in Bitework, and tracking... The suggestion that you join a club and learn BEFORE you get a pup is critical.  First so that your mistakes (and we ALL make them) don't damage the potential of a well bred pup.. and Second so that you know exactly  the traits and lines that you most want in a working dog.

Finding a good pup isn't that hard. There's LOTS of breeders on the pedigree site, and many are good ones.  There's also other Boards for GSD's that have good breeders posting on them.  Take your time to know just exactly what you need and want before making the commitment to purchasing a puppy.  My baby is 4 months old now, and growing like a weed.  While there are no more pups from that litter, I know that his breeder is expecting a litter from a well proven bitch around Thanksgiving. (other pups from this bitch are doing SchH, SAR, Agilty etc at high levels as well as being lovely)
