Today we were at the pet store that was the first place I took Nikon when I picked him up as a puppy. I go there a lot and one of the managers used to socialize him and is always asking me to bring him in again. I took him in today and luckily the manager was there, of course remarked that "this is not the puppy!!!" I still think of him as a puppy and refer to him as my "puppy" even though he's 80lbs and thinks he is kind of the universe and has raging hormones....ah, well, for now I let him think he's king of HIS universe!

WOW...did he grow fast!...he sure has very nice pigment!

If I ever "did" a showline, it would have to be one like him! Great looking boy, I always enjoy looking at the photos of your dogs.

My female is 7 now and she will always be my little girl. Your puppy is just gorgeous. You both look very happy, doesn't get better than this. Enjoy every moment with him, it is a precious gift you have been given. I am grateful for all the lessons my best friends have taught me.

Liesjers, what a stunning boy... Would you please send his pedigree if you don't mind... I am thinking about getting a showline and looking for a certain look.. Just curious about his pedigree... If you want to PM me, thats ok too....

Thanks all! I truly love this dog. I am usually not all mushy for dogs (or anything really) but he really is a joy to have around. He can be naughty but he's a quick learner, always forgives, never holds a grudge. Yes he is a show line but I like how he's turned out, nice show line type but not extreme, nice size (medium, I don't like large or heavy GSDs), nice coat (not too long or plush), love his color and pigment. He's not perfect but I couldn't imagine him any other way!

I haven't seen his father in person, I chose him because I know the dam very well, I see her once a week or more and watch her train and work in SchH, visit her when she welps a litter, and like her temperament on and off the training field. I usually have no interest in female dogs other than my working line female I already own, but I would take her in a heartbeat. So, I took a gamble based on how much I like the dam but it was a good decision.
