Geraldine,

Firstly it's not so unusual for them to go off their food, some questions:
  • What are you feeding?
  • How many meals per day?
  • How much per meal?
  • Any Titbits / Treats?
  • Any supplements?
  • How long has this been going on?
  • Is he fed alone or with other dogs?
  • Are there any distractions?

It really helps to be honest with all of these answers as some times it can be really obvious as to what is going on and to try to take the emotion out of it.

JUST LEAVE IT OUT THERE,  HE'LL EAT SOON ENOUGH. BUT WATCH HIS WEIGHT AND ATTEMPT TO ADD EGGS IN HIS FOOD AND SEE IF HE LIKES IT.. OR TRY ANOTHER PUPPY FOOD. MY YORKIE IS GOING THREW IT NOW AND SHE LUV ADULT DOG FOOD BUT HATES HER DOG FOOD....O WELL SHE STUCK WTH WHAT SHE'S GOT.

Its best not to leave the food down for more than 10 minutes. If he doesn't eat it take it away and try again later.  You could try giving him a teaspoonful of vitamin B complex (it comes as a syrup for children) - this helps to stimulate the appetite.   It can help to put a little something on his food to tempt him - grated cheese or tuna for example, but I have usually only done this for puppies that are convalescing and need building up as otherwise it can encourage fussy eating....If he is otherwise healthy, lively and not thin do not worry too much.

I would suggest to do some activities to maybe get your pup tired. Of course not too much and hopefully that will encourage his hunger. Once he cools off feed him and see if you have any success.
