Qualification Of Teams for the WUSV-World Championships
10-06-2010
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
During the meeting after the WUSV world Championships2009 in Krefeld it was agreed that only the best dogs of a country should participate and subsequently a qualification must be arranged beforehand.
In countries which have a number of clubs in the WUSV as members, a joint qualification procedure should identify the best dogs. During the subsequently held meeting of the WUSV committee the decision was made more concrete, namely that it should be placed for a vote before the WUSV - Full Assembly, where minor alterations are possible.
This means concretely that, for the next WUSV – World Championship, the agreement laid down after Krefeld does not yet have to be implemented, Certainly, a qualification but a joint selection heat/trial is not yet obligatory.
With best wishes
Clemens Lux

Hi Fairplay,
BAGSD have repeatedly failed to answer requests by GSDL to hold a meeting with them, to arrange a joint trial, to pick the BEST dogs to represent the UK. WHY do they do this? Is it because certain prominant members of BAGSD/VPG might NOT be GUARANTEED a place in this team? I think perhaps it is.
Surely the only FAIR and PROPER way to pick the team is by a joint selection trial,
I think it,s time we had an answer from someone (anyone) in BASD/VPG why they are so AGAINST a joint selection trial to pick the best dogs and handlers.
I wont be holding my breath waiting for an answer.
Weeman.

Let me ask you Guys in the UK this
Who is the team Captain for the UK and from which side does he come this must have to be a joint decision, who is running the organizing of the team, How then can any team be selected if two sides do not co operate with each other

We are being made a laughing stock just because some people think that they are intitled, sorry but it's about time some real complaints were made to the WUSV about the said club holding the sport of Schutzhund to randsome for their own gain, Seems like the back bone of the Englisman has gone and we are wiling to let people like these ruin our sport

The KEY to solving this problem in the UK is for ALL the WUSV Clubs throughout the World to fully support the WUSV motion which WILL ensure a SINGLE JOINT SELECTION TRIAL IN EACH COUNTRY WHERE MORE THAN ONE WUSV CLUB EXISTS - TO SELECT THE BEST TEAM - IRRISPECTIVE OF WHICH CLUB THEY ARE MEMBERS OF.

Videx, Why can't WUSV make this statutory?

by steve1 on 20 June 2010 - 14:06
That already happens in Belgium and it works very well, The Problem with some of the English Members is they put themselves first the Members second and There Country third
Belgium puts the Country before anything else, It is Team performance which counts that is what the competition is about Indivdual winning is second, That is to a Real Sportsman, evidently in the BADSD lot there are very few Sportsmen

The email below from Clemens Lux appears to make it WUSV policy, however this decision, supported last year, apparently needs to be ratified at the WUSV meetings later this year 2010.
the BAGSD representatives have visited the WUSV recently and may have identified this procedural requirement and BAGSD will NOT agree or implement any change until they are compulsory.
It is very clear that Stuart Nye with the help of Andrew Winfrow and the BAGSD will do everything possible to get to the WUSV Worlds each and every year whether he deserves to or not, usually NOT.
All the genuine Schutzhund Sport enthusiasts should stand united against BAGSD and ensure this policy outlined in the email below is passed with an overwhelming majority at the WUSV meetings 2010.

Dear Sirs,
very often we were asked by the two Great Britain member clubs of the WUSV about the team for the WUSV world championship.
This is the decision of the WUSV member meeting:
In every country in which there are two WUSV member clubs the two clubs have to make one trial and the best competitors, no matter from what club they are, can participate on the WUSV world championship.
Best regards

Does that mean a petition is in order?
Who would initiate this circulation for a more just system for selection?
Honestly, the sport is so small in UK and such divisions isn't helping the sport. Each and everyone should pat each others back and wish them well in any competition and let the best handler & dog team win their positions. I look forward to that happening.
